In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Vie of Beaminster in the County of Dorset yeoman being of sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding do make this my last will and Testament as follows (that is to say) I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary now the wife of John Hearn of Beaminster aforesaid Innholder the sum of Two hundred pounds to be paid to her at such times and in such proportions manner and form as my Executor herein after named shall think fit. Also I give and bequeath unto my Son Charles Vie the sum of One hundred pounds to be paid him by me Executor on the expiration of six Calendar months next after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my Grandchildren Jane Vie, Thomas Vie and Sophia Vie, children of my deceased Son George Vie, the sum of Twenty pounds each, to be paid to them by my Executor when and as they shall severally attain the age of twenty one years. Also I give unto the said Jane Vie my Chest of Drawers, and my wearing apparel of every sort and kind to the said Thomas Vie. And as to the money due and owing to me from my Son in Law the said John Hearn and all the rest residue and raminder of my monies and Securities for money, Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore given and disposed of, after payment of my just debts Legacies funeral and testamentary expences [sic] and the expence of proving this my will I do hereby give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my Son Henry Vie his Executors Administrators and assigns And I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said son Henry Vie sole Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set and subscribed my hand and seal this twenty third day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty three Thos vie Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Thomas Vie as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us, who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as witnesses thereto Robt Slade Jas Evere?? At Sarum on the 17th day of Septr 1827 Henry Vie lawful Son of the said deceased the sole Exor above named was duly sworn before me Edwd Benson A M ??? ??? Effects undr [sic] £1500
