Marriage of Robert Ludgater ju: and Mary Isaac
Whereas
Robert Ludgater ju: of Coggeshall in the County of Essex and
Mary Isaac of Halstead in the same County havuing declared there intentions of marriage at severall publicke meetings of the people of god Called Quakers in Essex which was aproved of by the said meetings now these are to Certify all people whom it may Concerne that for the full Determining of the intentions aforesaid this six day of the 4th month 1670 in an assembly of the people of god aforesaid at there meeting place in halstead the said Robert Ludgater did Sollimly in the fear of god according to the Example of holy men of god recorded in the holy scriptures of truth take the said Mary Isaac to be his wife and Likewise shee the said Mary Isaac did then and there take the said Robert Ludgater to be her husband each of them promising to be faithfull one to the other he as a Louing and tender husband and shee as a Louing and obedient wife so Long as they should Live and wee who were then present at there takeing each other haue here vnto set our hands witnesses vnto the same the day and yeare aforesaid
