I John Exton of the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex being weak in body but in perfect memory of mind doe by this my last Will and Testament bequeath In primis I commit my Soul to God who gave it and my body to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors next my worldly Goods I doe as hereafter bequeath I give my House and all my Lands lyeing and being in the Parish of Cotterhead in the County of Hertford unto my loving Wife Sarah Exton during the time of her natural life and after her decease to my Son John Exton and his Heirs for ever all my Estate in Kingsland wade in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex I doe likewise bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah Exton during her natural life and afterwards to my Son John Exton and his Heirs for ever likewise a House in Holywell Street in the Parish and County aforesaid late in the possession of [blank] Johnston I doe give and bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah Exton during her natural life and afterwards to her Daughter Elizabeth Sicksmith now wife of Peter Exton during her natural life and after her decease to my son John Exton and his Heirs for ever likewise one other house in the Street Parish and County aforesaid now in the possession of James Hackney I doe give and bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah Exton with the priviledge of a back doore into my present dwelling house during her natural life and afterwards to my Son John Exton and his Heirs for ever likewise one House scituate and being in Bishopgates street in the Parish of Saint Botolphs without Bishops gate knowne by the signe of the White Horse and golden Heart I doe give and bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah Exton during her natural life and afterwards to my Son John Exton and his Heirs for ever likewise my part of the house knowne by the signe of the Rose and Crowne scituate and being in Bishop gate Street in the liberty of the City of London I doe give and Bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah Exton during her natural life and after her decease to my Daughter Mary Exton now Wife of Richard Wigley and her Heirs for ever I doe likewise give and bequeath three fourths of my part of the Inne knowne by the Signe of the Catherine Wheele and George with the like share of the two houses in the Alley thereto adjoining unto my loving Wife Sarah Exton during her natural life and after her decease to my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley and her Heirs forever the other fourth part of the Inne and Tenements aforesaid I doe give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley and her Heirs for ever as likewise a House in Mountague Court in the Street Parish and County aforesaid I doe give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley and her Heirs for ever as likewise the House that I now dwell in on Stratford Common in the Parish of Westham in the County of Essex with the Court yard and Garden thereto adjoining and as much ground to be taken in a direct line between the dwelling house and Barne thereto adjoining to the first rowe of Trees in the Orchard I doe give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley and her Heirs for ever on Condition my Wife to dwell in the said House if she thinks fitt during her natural life All my Estate in Hertfordshire All my Estate in Essex All my Estate in Middlesex All my Estate in the City of London not yet bequeathed I bequeath to my Son John Exton and his Heirs for ever All my Plate Linnen and Household Goods in both my Houses of Shoreditch and Stratford I Will and Bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah Exton to be disposed of as she shall think fit desiring she would give the Major part to my Children as to the rest of my personall Estate I Will and bequeath one third part to my loving Wife Sarah Exton one third part to my Son John Exton the other third part to my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley on Condition she to pay to my Son John Exton the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds out of her share of my personall Estate immediately after my decease I doe likewise give and bequeath unto George Sarah Peter John and Mary sons and Daughters of Peter and Elizabeth Exton the sum of twenty pound each as likewise to John Son of Richard and Mary Wigley the like sum of twenty pounds to be payd each of them when they arrive at the full age of twenty four years these Legacyes to be payd out of my Estate the one halfe by my son John Exton or his Heirs the other halfe by my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley or her Heirs I doe likewise give and bequeath unto Thomas Eades and Peter Exton the sum of five pounds to be disposed of to the poor of Devonshire House Meeting as they shall think fit likewise to Michael Russell and Benjamin Ollive the sum of five pounds to be disposed of to the poor of Plaistow Meeting in the County of Essex as they shall think fit likewise to George Robins and Edward Lucas the sum of five pounds to be disposed of to the poore of Cotterhead meeting in the County of Hertford as they shall think fit these Legacyes to be paid out of my personall Estate by my loving Wife Sarah Exton and my Daughter Mary now Wife of Richard Wigley whome I doe by these presents nominate constitute and appoint joint Executrixes to this my Will they to pay all my debts and Funerall Charges and then my personall Estate to be divided as before mentioned In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this seventeenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty two.
